More than 1,100 BC Hydro customers are in the dark Tuesday evening.

The area from Woodsdale Road to Beaver Lake Road and over to Okanagan Centre Road East to Bottom Wood Lake Road experienced a power outage at about 5:30 p.m.

BC Hydro is aware of the outage and has crews responding to the area at about 6:40 p.m. It’s unclear what caused the outage or when it will be repaired.

The last outage occurred on May 3, when a bird hit a hydro wire knocking out power to more than 3,000 customers.
